Deborah Zehnder studied Cultural Studies, Political Science and Modern History at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU). She has coordinated externally funded and research projects at the Department of Cultural History and Theory at the HU. As production director, she has organised several theatre and dance performances and festivals. In 2010 she assumed responsibility for the academic coordination of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory’s funding application, and in November 2012 she was appointed Academic Manager of the Cluster of Excellence.
