Florian Berger studied Media Technology in Leipzig and has been
investigating serious games and game-based learning at the University of
Education Weingarten since 2008. His research interests in the context
of his current doctoral studies are adaptivity and personalisation in
digital educational games. From 2010 to 2011 he was a scholarship
recipient of the MFG Stiftung Baden-Württemberg foundation, from 2011 to
2012 he was awarded a DAAD grant for the post of visiting scholar at the
»Center for Computer Games Research« of the ITU Copenhagen. In 2011 he
initiated the annual »researching games BarCamp«, a unique Europe-wide
summit for young researchers specialising in the field of games. In
addition to his current post at the Cluster, he works as a developer,
project manager, and lecturer in Berlin.
