Academic Coordinator of a neuroscience society in Berlin from 2002 to 2007. Research associate at the Zentrum für Literatur- und Kulturforschung (ZfL) in Berlin from 2007 to 2010, most recently lecturer and teaching staff member of the Department of Cultural History and Theory at the HU. Candidate on the shortlist for the 2014 Humboldt Award for Good Teaching. 

Research Interests: aesthetics and history of media, medicine and culture, active matter, literary history of knowledge, the biological basis of poetics.
