Maddalena Casarini holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the Università di Bologna (Italy) and the Yeditepe Üniversitesi (Istanbul, Turkey). She began pursuing a degree in Pedagogy with concentrations in German and French at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2014. Maddalena began working as a student assistant in the Department of Romance Language Studies of the HU in 2016; she is responsible for tutorial courses on introductory level Italian language and literature.

In her capacity as Deutschlandstipendium scholarship recipient in the project »Morphology and History of Forms«, she is investigating the shift in the role of graphic representations as a device for scientific arguments, specifically in the literature published in »Journal of Morphology«.
