Swantje Bahnsen is a student assistant in the Base Project »Mobile Objects«. She received a B.A. degree from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in »Music and Media« with a focus on documentary films. Her interest in GDR documentary films then lead her to pursue a Master’s degree in »European History«. Her current research interest is contemporary history, principally of the GDR.
